Jan. 18 (Bloomberg) — Nike Inc. will introduce new golf clubs this month without promotional input from Tiger Woods, the Wall Street Journal reported online.
The Victory Red STR8-FIT Tour fairway woods will sell for $299 from Jan. 28 and were designed following consultations with all 13 U.S. tour professionals who promote Nike golf products, the report said. Promotional materials make no regards of Woods, whose habit of wearing red on the final day of tournaments was the inspiration for the products, the Journal said.
Nike-sponsored Woods is taking an indefinite break for the sport after admititng to marital infidelity following a car crash in November.
